Trim Levels (Exterior)
For 2023, the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport comes in five trim levels. The base SE trim level features 18-inch alloy wheels and all-season tires, while the SE with Technology trim features 20-inch alloy wheels and all-season tires. Next is the SEL trim level, which includes a power tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof, 20-inch alloy wheels, and all-season tires. The fourth trim level is the SEL R-Line Black, which comes with R-Line Black exterior styling details, a power tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof, and 20-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires. The top-of-the-line trim level is the SEL Premium R-Line trim, which includes R-Line exterior styling and 21-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires.
Engine (Power)
Car buyers can choose one of two engine options when shopping for the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. The standard engine offering is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. A 3.6-liter V-6 engine is also available, which generates 276 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. Both engine options pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
Front-wheel drive is the standard setup for this SUV, but all-wheel drive is an optional upgrade with lower trim levels and comes standard with higher trims. With 4MOTION® with Active Control, you have the ability to chose between 4 different modes for driving.
Interior
Climb into the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport cabin, and a spacious and cozy interior greets you. Passengers in the front row get 41.7 inches of legroom, while second-row passengers get 40.4 inches. The Volkswagen SUV also features an outstanding 40.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row of seats, or 77.8 cubic feet of space with these seats folded down. Simulated leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat all come standard with this vehicle. A 6.5-inch display on the dashboard works alongside wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims increase the size of the display to 8 inches and add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety Features
The 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport comes with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. These features work together to reduce the risk of a collision when switching lanes. Automatic emergency braking also comes standard and uses sensors, an alert system, and brakes to prevent head-on crashes. Higher trim levels add parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, adaptive high beams, and a lane-keeping system.
