Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Honda Ridgeline is available in four trims: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition. Each Ridgeline model comes in a crew cab style with a 5-foot-4-inch bed. Unlike other pickup trucks, this one doesn't require a spray-in bed liner since the cargo area floor consists of scratch- and dent-resistant composite material. One helpful feature on the Ridgeline is a fold-down tailgate that swings out, thanks to its second set of hinges. That allows you to load and unload cargo easier. The bed also has an underneath waterproof compartment with 7.3 cubic feet of storage space.
Engine (Power)
The 2023 Ridgeline has one engine, and it brings a lot of power under the hood of your pickup. The 3.5-liter V-6 engine cranks out 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque and pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission to send power to all the wheels.
Performance
The engine on the Ridgeline feels smooth and has a responsive throttle response when you want to accelerate. The engine also has a stop/restart function and can deactivate a cylinder or two when necessary. Its coil-sprung independent rear suspension provides a smooth car-like ride since it easily absorbs bumps in the road. Also, when properly equipped, the truck has a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.
Interior
You might expect the cabin of a pickup truck to be more practical than functional, but that's not the case with the 2023 Ridgeline. Its well-built and sturdy cabin keeps the wind and outside noise to a minimum, and high-quality materials line the inside. Cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats come standard, but you can opt for leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and heated and power-adjustable front seats. The front seats offer plenty of legroom and headroom. The back seat is spacious, and the rear seatback slightly reclines. For technology, the 2023 Ridgeline has an infotainment system available with an 8-inch touch-screen display. Other features include Bluetooth, two USB ports, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Upgraded technology features include satellite and HD radio, wireless smartphone charging, navigation, and extra USB ports.
Safety Features
The 2023 Honda Ridgeline comes with a full list of driver-assistance features, including lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, forward automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and forward-collision warning. Upper trims add front and rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Additionally, the pickup truck has three sets of LATCH connectors in the rear seats to protect child passengers.
